Alder collects and processes personal data provided to us in connection with your business relationship with Alder or transactions involving any of Alder’s funds.

How Alder uses your personal data
Business contacts:
Personal data is processed for the purpose of conducting Alder’s business, in contact and cooperation with investors, portfolio companies, advisors and suppliers. The data may be used to send quarterly reports, invitations to meetings and presentations and requests for advisory assignments. The processing is based on legitimate interest, as Alder has a strong interest in maintaining business contacts with other companies and organizations. We only process professional contact information in your role as a representative or contact person for a company or organization.
KYC and AML (Know Your Customer and Money Laundering):
In connection with investments or other transactions carried out by Alder’s funds, personal data of directors, management, beneficial owners and representatives of target companies, sellers and remaining shareholders are processed. The purpose is to carry out the necessary KYC and AML checks. The data processed may include: name, contact details (e.g. address), position, date of birth, nationality, country of birth, passport copy, country of residence, proof of address, relationship with the company or beneficial owner and results of these checks. The processing is based on a legal obligation.
Alder retains personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose of the processing. For purposes under point (1), data is stored throughout the business relationship with the company or organization you represent. For purposes under point (2), data is retained for as long as required by law, regulation or government decision.

We have taken appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access. Only persons who need to process data for the specified purposes have access to it. In some cases, it may be necessary to transfer data to third parties.
